Description
🌿 Neoregelia ‘Sandy’ – Radiant Rosette with a Tropical Glow
The Neoregelia ‘Sandy’ is a delightful member of the genus Neoregelia, celebrated for its stunning pastel coloration and perfectly shaped rosette. Its soft green foliage warms into rich peachy-coral tones toward the center, especially when grown in bright light. This compact bromeliad fits beautifully on tabletops, plant stands, and outdoor tropical landscapes alike.
Neoregelias are epiphytic by nature, meaning they grow on trees in the wild. Their tanks (central cups) naturally collect water, supporting the plant while helping create a miniature ecosystem. 'Sandy' is a wonderful option for beginners and collectors due to its unique color and forgiving growth habit.
🌞 Light Requirements
Bright, indirect light to partial sun brings out the best color. Morning sun is ideal. Indoors: place near a bright window. Outdoors: protect from harsh afternoon sun to avoid bleaching.
💧 Water
Keep the center cup filled with fresh, clean water and flush it weekly to prevent stagnation. Water the soil lightly — bromeliads do not like to stay soggy.
🌡️ Temperature & Humidity
Prefers warm temperatures above 60°F. Thrives in moderate to high humidity but adapts well indoors.
🪴 Soil & Potting
Use a fast-draining, airy mix — orchid bark, chunky peat, or a bromeliad mix works perfectly. Repot only when needed; bromeliads like being snug in their pots.
🌱 Pup Production
After maturity, ‘Sandy’ will produce pups around the base. Allow pups to reach at least 1/3 the size of the mother before separating.
Each Neoregelia is carefully grown and handled with the 305 Greenery signature care — bringing vibrant tropical beauty straight to your door.
