Neoregelia ‘Cookie’ – Striking Red Striped Bromeliad

Neoregelia ‘Cookie’ is an exceptionally colorful tropical bromeliad known for its dramatic striped foliage and beautifully symmetrical rosette.

The elongated, pointed leaves develop brilliant red to hot-pink longitudinal stripes contrasting against deep bronze, burgundy and green tones. The combination creates a vivid, almost glowing appearance, especially when the plant is grown under strong filtered light.

Like other Neoregelias, ‘Cookie’ is primarily grown for its foliage rather than its flowers. Its low, spreading rosette makes an impressive display in decorative containers, tropical landscapes, bromeliad collections and mounted arrangements.

Light

Grow in bright filtered light or bright indirect light for strong coloration and compact growth. Good light encourages the vivid red and pink foliage for which this variety is prized. Protect from intense midday sun unless the plant has been properly acclimated.

Water

Keep a small amount of clean water in the central rosette and refresh it regularly. Water the growing medium as needed, allowing good drainage and avoiding constantly saturated soil.

Temperature

Neoregelia ‘Cookie’ prefers warm tropical conditions and should be protected from cold temperatures and frost.

Humidity & Airflow

Moderate to high humidity is beneficial, but good airflow around the foliage is equally important, particularly in warm and humid growing conditions.

Growing Habit

After reaching maturity, the mother rosette will naturally produce offsets around its base. These pups can eventually form an attractive bromeliad cluster or be separated once sufficiently developed.
