🌱 Perreiraara ‘Bangkok Sunset’ Care Guide

☀️ Light – Bright & Filtered

Provide bright, filtered sunlight with some gentle morning sun. Adequate light encourages healthy growth and flower production. Protect the foliage from intense midday and afternoon sunlight.

💧 Watering – Daily Hydration

For bare-root or open-basket cultivation in warm conditions, water thoroughly every day, allowing the roots to dry between waterings. During particularly hot or dry weather, additional watering may be beneficial. Plants grown in moisture-retentive media should be watered according to how quickly the roots and medium dry.

🌿 Fertilizing – Feed for Healthy Growth & Blooms

During active growth, feed weekly with a properly diluted 20-20-20 balanced fertilizer to support healthy foliage, root development, and overall vigor.

A 10-30-20 blossom booster may be applied monthly at the manufacturer's recommended orchid-safe dilution as part of an established feeding program. Avoid excessive fertilizer concentrations, and periodically flush the roots with clean water to prevent salt accumulation.

🌫️ Humidity & Air Circulation

Maintain moderate to high humidity, ideally around 60–80%, with excellent air circulation. Moving air helps the roots dry appropriately between waterings and supports healthy growth.

🌡️ Temperature – Warm Tropical Conditions

Bangkok Sunset thrives in warm conditions, ideally around 65–90°F. Protect from prolonged exposure to temperatures below 55°F and avoid cold drafts.

🪴 Growing & Display

Its compact growth makes this orchid especially attractive in a hanging basket or slotted orchid container. Provide excellent drainage and plenty of fresh air around the roots. Its smaller size makes it easier to incorporate into established orchid collections without sacrificing valuable growing space.

🌸 Flowering & Fragrance

When mature and grown under favorable conditions, Perreiraara ‘Bangkok Sunset’ produces cheerful, sunset-colored blooms accompanied by a refreshing citrus fragrance. Fragrance intensity may vary with temperature, time of day, and flower maturity.
