Neoregelia ‘Namaskar’ – Rich Burgundy Color Framed in Brilliant Green
Neoregelia ‘Namaskar’ is a spectacular tropical bromeliad prized for its dramatic foliage and beautifully balanced rosette. Broad, gracefully arching leaves develop deep burgundy-red to wine coloration through much of the leaf surface, while brilliant green margins create a striking outline around every leaf.
The combination of saturated color and crisp green edging gives ‘Namaskar’ exceptional visual depth. As the leaves overlap to form a dense, symmetrical rosette, the contrasting margins emphasize its layered architecture and create an almost floral appearance even when the plant is not blooming.
Like other Neoregelias, ‘Namaskar’ is primarily grown for its colorful foliage rather than its flowers. Color intensity can vary depending on maturity, growing conditions, season, and light exposure, making each plant naturally unique.

Neoregelia ‘Namaskar’ Care Guide
Light: Provide bright filtered light or bright indirect light for strong growth and the best foliage coloration. Some gentle morning sun can be beneficial, but protect the plant from intense midday and afternoon sun unless it has been properly acclimated.
Water: Neoregelias naturally hold water in their central rosette or “cup.” Keep a small amount of fresh, clean water in the cup and replace it periodically. Water the growing medium as needed, allowing good drainage and avoiding constantly saturated soil.
Humidity: Moderate to high humidity is ideal. Good air circulation is equally important, particularly in warm and humid growing conditions.
Temperature: Best grown in warm tropical conditions. Protect from frost and prolonged exposure to cold temperatures.
Potting Mix: Use a loose, airy and fast-draining bromeliad mix. The roots should receive plenty of oxygen and should never remain in heavy, waterlogged soil.
Fertilizer: Feed lightly during active growth with a diluted, balanced fertilizer. Bromeliads generally require much less fertilizer than many conventional foliage plants.
Growth Habit: Neoregelias form rosettes and eventually produce offsets, commonly called pups, around the mother plant. These can be allowed to develop into an attractive cluster or separated once sufficiently established.
Important Color Note
Foliage coloration naturally varies with light intensity, maturity, season and individual growing conditions. Plants grown under brighter filtered light typically develop stronger coloration than plants maintained in lower light. Each living plant is unique and may differ somewhat from the representative photos.
Bring extraordinary tropical color to your collection with Neoregelia ‘Namaskar’ — a beautifully structured bromeliad where deep wine-colored foliage meets brilliant green.
