Renantanda Kalsom Red Dragon

Renanthera Kalsom Red Dragon is an epiphytic growing, primary orchid hybrid, a crossing between Renanthera philippinensis (seed parent) and Renanthera storiei (pollen parent).

The large-sized, tropical orchid hybrid, reaching highs up to 1,50 – 2 meters, has been registered with the Royal Horticultural Society under the name Renanthera Kalsom by S.Y.Alsagoff in 1977. The long-lasting flowers get a size of about 3 cm in diameter and are grouped on branched inflorescences, packed with up to about 50 single flowers. Flowering period: free flowering. Whilst flowering, Renanthera Kalsom Red Dragon will stay in bloom for about 5-6 month. The tropical orchid hybrid requires a warm – hot, humid climate and bright light or full sunlight.
