It is normal for your tracking information to temporarily display "USPS Awaiting Item" after you receive your shipping confirmation email. This simply means that your shipping label has been created and the package is being prepared for shipment or has not yet received its first acceptance scan from USPS.
Although packages are often scanned when they are picked up, USPS occasionally performs the first scan later in the shipping process. In these cases, the tracking may continue to show "USPS Awaiting Item" until the package reaches a USPS processing facility, at which point the tracking information will begin updating normally.
Once USPS performs its first acceptance scan, you will be able to follow your package's progress throughout its journey. We appreciate your patience and understanding while the carrier updates its tracking system.
