Why is shipping so expensive?

Shipping live plants is very different from shipping most other products. The cost is determined primarily by the carrier based on the package's size, weight, destination, and the shipping service required—not by the price of the plant itself.

To help ensure every plant arrives in excellent condition, we carefully secure each one using custom, handmade wooden supports that keep it stable throughout its journey. We also intentionally use spacious boxes to help prevent bent foliage, broken leaves, and other damage that can occur when plants are packed too tightly.

Because live plants require this extra protection, the shipping box is often much larger than the plant itself, and the overall package may weigh considerably more once all protective materials are included. These factors can make shipping costs higher than many customers expect, especially for larger plants or longer shipping distances.

While we continually look for ways to keep our plants affordable, our highest priority is making sure every plant arrives healthy, secure, and ready to thrive. Thank you for your understanding and for appreciating the care we put into every order.
