What should I do after receiving my plant?
Your new plant has just completed an important journey, so a little care during its first few days will help it settle into its new home. We recommend unpacking your plant as soon as possible after delivery and carefully removing all packaging materials.
Each plant is secured with custom, handmade wooden supports to help keep it stable during shipping. Carefully remove these supports, inspect the plant for any minor cosmetic stress that may have occurred during transit, and avoid judging its condition immediately after unpacking. It is normal for live plants to need a short period of acclimation after shipping.
Place your plant in an appropriate location with the recommended light conditions for its species, and allow it a few days to adjust before making any major changes such as repotting or fertilizing. If the growing medium is still moist, there is usually no need to water immediately. Overwatering during the acclimation period is one of the most common causes of problems.
With a little patience and proper care, your new plant will soon settle in and continue growing, bringing you years of enjoyment.
