Have your plants been treated with fertilizers or plant protection products?
Have your plants been treated with fertilizers or plant protection products?
Yes. Like most professional nurseries, we use fertilizers as part of our regular growing program to produce healthy, vigorous plants. Proper nutrition plays an important role in developing strong root systems, healthy foliage, and overall plant quality.
When necessary, we may also use horticultural products to help prevent or control pests and diseases. These treatments are applied responsibly and only when needed to maintain the health and quality of our plants.
Before shipping, every plant is carefully inspected to ensure it meets our quality standards. Our goal is to provide healthy, well-established plants that arrive ready to thrive in their new home.
If you have specific concerns about fertilizers, pesticides, or growing practices, please feel free to contact us before placing your order. We're always happy to answer your questions.

How should I protect my tropical plants during cold weather?
How should I protect my tropical plants during cold weather?
Tropical plants generally prefer warm temperatures and should be protected from prolonged exposure to cold weather. Since cold tolerance varies greatly from one species to another, we recommend becoming familiar with the specific needs of your plant and monitoring local weather conditions during the cooler months.
If freezing temperatures or unusually cold weather are expected, move container-grown plants indoors or to a protected location whenever possible. If the plant must remain outdoors, covering it with a frost cloth or other suitable plant protection can help reduce the risk of cold damage. Be sure to remove the covering once temperatures warm up to allow for proper light and air circulation.
Keeping the growing medium slightly moist—but not waterlogged—can also help reduce stress during cold weather. Avoid fertilizing or repotting while the plant is experiencing temperature stress, and allow it time to recover once warmer conditions return.
With a little preparation, most tropical plants can safely make it through occasional periods of cooler weather and continue to thrive when temperatures become favorable again.

What should I do after receiving my plant?
What should I do after receiving my plant?
Your new plant has just completed an important journey, so a little care during its first few days will help it settle into its new home. We recommend unpacking your plant as soon as possible after delivery and carefully removing all packaging materials.
Each plant is secured with custom, handmade wooden supports to help keep it stable during shipping. Carefully remove these supports, inspect the plant for any minor cosmetic stress that may have occurred during transit, and avoid judging its condition immediately after unpacking. It is normal for live plants to need a short period of acclimation after shipping.
Place your plant in an appropriate location with the recommended light conditions for its species, and allow it a few days to adjust before making any major changes such as repotting or fertilizing. If the growing medium is still moist, there is usually no need to water immediately. Overwatering during the acclimation period is one of the most common causes of problems.
With a little patience and proper care, your new plant will soon settle in and continue growing, bringing you years of enjoyment.
